With the help of a colorful and tight-knit Jewish com- munity, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores and the growing anti-Semi- tism of Czarist Russia. on the cuts across barriers of race, class, nationality, and religion making this show a staple in musical theater. Under the di- rection of Gary John La Rosa, Maine State Music production is bound to make audiences remember why it is one of the most beloved musicals of all time.

Bill Nolte will be stepping into the time-honored role of Tevye. With a career that spans across the U.S. and Broadway, he most recent- ly appeared as Ben in Secret in New York City for the a Foundation, Vandergelder in and Fedlzieg in Drowsy Opposite of Nolte, Susan Cella will be playing strong-willed wife, Golde. Cella is returning to the MSMT stage having appeared in Modern Full and Playing the role of Yente is MSMT favorite, Charis Leos. This season marks her 24th production at MSMT.

She most recently appeared in the full 2015 season as Georgie in Full Eulalie Shinn in Music Sister Mary Patrick in and Frau Blucher in Tevye and three oldest daughters (Tzeitel, Hodel and Chava) will be played by Rachel Rhodes-De- vey, Siri Howard and Lexi Rabadi.
