APRIL 3, 2007 JOURNAL TRIBUNE A5 Obituaries Robert BUXTON Robert Edward Maxwell 39, of Pine Country Drive, died Sunday at his residence, after a battle with melanoma, surrounded by his family. He was born in Portland, on May 9, 1967, the son of Robert and Sylvia (Barnes) Maxwell. As a child he attended schools in Cape Elizabeth and graduated from Cape Elizabeth High School, Class of 1985. While in high school, he was the pitcher at the state baseball championships at Orono during his senior year. He served his country by enlisting into the U.S.

Army. He served from 1985 to 1993 and attained the rank of corporal. He went on to further his education at the University of Angelo KENNEBUNK Angelo "Rudy" D'Uva, 74, died Sunday at Southern Maine Medical Center. He was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Belleville, N.J., a son of Liberato and Belinda Cifelli D'Uva and was educated there.

He was a graduate of Belleville High School, Class of 1951 and came to this area in 1994. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. On Sept. 4, 1954, he married Shirley Record in Belleville, N.J.

He was employed with while living in New Jersey, retiring in 1 1990. He was a member and Post Raynald BIDDEFORD Raynald Morin, 85, died Sunday at his home. He was born July 14, 1921, in Biddeford, a son of Alphonse and Medora Manseau Morin and was educated at St. Joseph School and St. Louis High School.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. On July 26, 1947, he married Rita Laliberte at St. Andre's Church. D'UVA ANGELO "RUDY" of Kennebunk, died April 1 in Biddeford.

Visiting hours will Maxwell Jr. Southern Maine and graduated Summa Cum Laude. He was a Social Studies teacher at Bonny Eagle High School for nine years. He taught Global Village, which is a freshman class, and Modern European History. From 2003 to 2004, he was a Buxton Little League Coach.

He enjoyed baseball cards and coins, working in the outdoors, recreational boating on Little Sebago Lake, and an dil avid history enthusiast. He is survived by: His wife, Yvonne (Fontenot) Maxwell of Buxton; his children, Kyle, Rachel, Edward and James Maxwell of Buxton; a step daughter, Nicole Brown of his parents, Robert Sr. and Sylvia Maxwell of Cape Elizabeth; two sisters, Laurie Lopriore of Conn. and Rebecca Maxwell of Scarborough; three step grandchildren; his motherin-law; four sisters-in-law; four nephews, four nieces and many other relatives, friends, and students. D'Uva Commander of the V.F.W.

in Kennebunk. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Assembly 2327 in Limerick, the 3rd Degree Council in Lyman and was a former member of the Italian Heritage Society of Portland. He played the clarinet, was an avid Yankee fan and active church member. He was a Little League coach in New Jersey and also coached his son in hockey. He was preceded in death by: His son, Markangelo D'Uva in 2003 and by his parents, brothers and sisters.

He is survived by: His wife of 52 years, Shirley D'Uva of Kennebunk; one daughter, Felicia Valliere (and her husband, Brian) of Biddeford; one granddaughter, Chelsea Valliere of Biddeford; and one daughter-in-law, Christine D'Uva of N.J. Morin He had worked for Roval Chretien as a plumber and then at the Saco Tannery for 22 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of St. Andre's Church, and was a life member of the V.F.W. post 489.

He enjoyed gardening and playing cards. He was preceded in death by: Two sisters, Theresa, and Yvette and by one brother, Emilien. He is survived by: His wife years, Rita Morin of Biddeford; one daughter, Suzanne Cote (and her husband, Rick) of Dayton; two granddaughters, Kelly and Erica Cote both of Dayton, several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Marie BIDDEFORD Marie Rose Michelson, 82, died Monday at the Southridge Living Center. She was born in Biddeford on Nov. 11, 1924, a daughter of Pierre and Marie Rose (Descoteaux) Gagne and attended local Biddeford schools. She was married to the late Robert J. Michelson.

After moving to Massachusetts, she worked with local nursing homes as a dietitian for 20 years before returning to Maine. She was a communicant of Other Nathaniel SACO Nathaniel H. Whitney, 90, of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Ocean Park died peacefully March 30, 2007.

He was born in Westford, son of Nathaniel R. and Bertha Whitney. He was educated at Westford Academy. Nat, in his younger years. was a boxer in the Lowell Lawrence area and was a wrestler known as "The Scissors King." He was a race car who was known for having started the racing career of Hall of Fame driver Ralph Moody.

Nat was an avid tennis player in Ocean Park and at Seminole Tennis Club. He was a lifelong Unitarian and a member in both of his communities. Nat retired from 25 years at Bedford Va. Hospital. In the 1950s he was the first person to begin taking mentally ill patients out of the hospital to work in the community.

Many had not been outside for t10 or more years. In his retirement he maintained the Ocean Park clay tennis courts until he was more than 80 years old. He was predeceased by his lovely granddaughter, Rani Deaths Hans BERLIN Hans Filbinger, a former governor of Germany's Baden-Wuerttemberg state who resigned amid revelations about his past as a Nazi-era naval judge, has died, the state government said Monday. He was 93. Filbinger died Sunday at his home in Freiburg, a government statement said.

It did not specify the cause of death. Filbinger, a member of the conservative Christian Democrats, governed BadenWuerttemberg, a prosperous region in Germany's southwest, from 1966 until his past Michelson St. Joseph's Church. She also enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking and trips to Ireland. She was preceded in death by: Her husband, Robert J.

Michelson; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by: Two sons, Peter Dugay (and his wife, Mary) of Derry, N.H., and Robert M. Michelson (and his wife, Kathy) of Hollis; one brother, Homer Descoteaux of Shapleigh; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He leaves his five children from his previous Joyce Thompson and husband Ron Houle of Ocean Park; Nathaniel Whitney and wife Chang Hong of Littleton, Todd Whitney and wife Kathleen of Largo, Fla. and Ocean Park; Judi Montoney and husband Michael of New Waterford, Ohio; and Kent Whitney and wife Jean of Sunderland, Mass. He leaves 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He also leaves two step-daughters, Deborah and husband Anthony Chianese of Bethlehem, Conn. and Valerie Keirstead and husband David of Stafford, and four step-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Westminster Suncoast Health Center Chapel, 6909 Dr. MLK St. Petersburg on Friday April 13. A Memorial service will be held in June in Ocean Park. Donations may be made in his memory to Ocean Park Tennis, PO Box 7296, Nathaniel Whitney Memorial Fund.

He argued that he had been following orders and claimed that he had succeeded in heading off the conviction of several soldiers.

He became a lawyer after the war and joined BadenWuerttemberg's state government as interior minister in 1960.
