Welch, 76, of Auburn, passed away gently at home on Sunday, February 25. She was born in Auburn, on May 11, 1930, the youngest child of Thurman and Grace Knight Sidelinger. After graduating from Edward Little High School, in 1948, she went on to marry Gordon E. Welch, in 1949, and they created a secure and loving home for their four children. Over the years she and her husband traveled to many places, but she always loved home and family above all.

She did many things for others and was an example to her family of loyalty and selflessness. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband, Gordon; son, Larry Welch; daughters, Patte Kaminski, and husband, Mike, and Vicki and husband, James; grandchildren, Carol Sinclair, Todd Welch, Aaron Welch and Christian Kaminski, and many nieces and nephews. Stone, 62, of Liverpool, N.Y., passed away Friday, Feb. 23, at Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse, N.Y. He was born in Boston, and a resident of Maine for 21 years, where he graduated from Edward Little High School in 1962. He moved to N.Y. in 1966.

He was a Liverpool resident since 1971. He graduated from Bentley College, Waltham, with a bachelors of science degree, then later received an associates degree from Onondaga Community College in Criminal Justice. He worked for Agway for many years in the internal audit department. After leaving Agway, he started his own accounting and tax business, Liverpool Accounting Service. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia (Damon) Stone; daughters, Carlene (Michael) Dietrich, of Liverpool, Diana Ashton, of Sharon Springs; beloved granddaughters, Christina and Sarah Dietrich, of Liverpool; his Aunts Rose, and Jackie Tuttle, of Maine.

He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Elsie Stone, and several aunts and uncles from Maine. WILLIAM B. STONE 1944-2007 JUPITER, Fla. Gloria E. (Young) Milliken, 74, died Feb.

24, in Jupiter, Florida. She was born July 10, 1932, in Bath, the daughter of Louis and Hazel (Reed) Young. She was educated in Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School, with the class of 1950. Her pride in graduating with the Class of 1950 is evident by the many reunions she attended and the mementos and photos that she saved. She married William Milliken, May 23, 1952, in Bath and they spent 49 devoted years together.

work as a recreation director took them to Millinocket from 1958 to 1965, and Leominster, from 1965 to 1968, and finally to Lewiston, where they lived on 23 Fairlawn for 34 years. Bill sadly left her side in April 2001. In 2002, she moved to Alna, to live with family. She will be greatly missed and will always be remembered as a devoted and loving wife, mother, and Her greatest love in her life was her family. Every chance to be with family members was special to her, and we will forever be blessed with the memories of vacations, holidays and family gatherings with her.

Her family and friends will cherish the many thoughtful ways she held each one of us dear. As she walks softly in our hearts forever, we will remember her talent for crafts, her passion for music, and her love of dancing. She loved the beach, rays of sunshine, and the smell of the ocean salt air. It is a peaceful thought that she now basks in the peace and warmth of heaven. She is survived by a daughter Judi Wellinghurst, of Fryeburg; three sons, Shane, and wife, Julie, of Winthrop, Scott, and wife, Judy, of Alna, and Kevin, and wife, Carol, of Jupiter, Florida; several special grandchildren; a devoted cousin, Larry Reed, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill, brother Louis H. Young Jr. and sister Sandra Borski. GLORIA E. MILLIKEN 1932-2007 UNERAL OTICES Pinette Lynch LEWISTON Evelyn A.

Flood, 98, of East Poland and Lewiston, died Feb. 21 at Central Maine Medical Center, after a brief illness. She was born Jan. 25, 1909, In Exeter, the daughter of Leon Avery and Gertrude (Sawtelle) Avery. A survivor of the great flu pandemic of 1919, she was raised in Corinna, educated in local schools and was valedictorian of the Corinna Union Academy, Class of 1927.

She matriculated at Boston University and graduated in 1931, with a degree in religious education. She returned to Maine, and for two years worked for the Methodist church throughout the state. On June 5, 1933, at her home in Corinna, she married the Rev. Ernest C. Flood, a Methodist pastor and recent Bangor Seminary graduate.

Together, for the next 40 years, they served churches in Lisbon, Fairfield, Kezar Falls, Sanford, Portland: Congress Street, Old Town and Stillwater, Bangor: Grace Church and Livermore Falls. She concentrated on childrens and youth work, serving as Sunday school teacher and superintendent and director of evening youth fellowship. In the late 1950s she began to substi tute in the public schools and starting in 1961, she taught for 11 years in the elementary schools of Old Town and Livermore Falls. After her retirement in 1972, she lived for the next 30 years at the Empire Grove Methodist Campground, in East Poland. Her final years were spent at Russell Park Living Center, in Lewiston.

She was a major figure at the state level of the Methodist society, holding numerous offices, including state president. She was also a delegate to numerous regional and national conferences in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. In addition, she was a fine homemaker, an excellent cook, a superb baker and an accomplished needlewoman and quilter. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Royce E.

Flood, professor emeritus of communication studies from Butler University, in Indianapolis, and James D. Flood, instructor in organ and piano, at Villa Maria College in Buffalo, N.Y., and minister of music, at First Baptist Church in Niagara Falls; two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest. EVELYN A. FLOOD 1909-2007 TOGUS Stanley W.

Remington, 80, of Fayette, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 25, at the VA Medical Center in Togus, with his loving family by his side. He was born Aug. 20, 1926, in Andover, the sixth child of Ralph and Ruth (Hutchins) Remington. He served his country six years with the U.S.

Navy during World War II and four years with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On May 23, 1958, he married Marilyn Demont in Andover. They lived in Livermore Falls, Lisbon and Fayette for several years. He worked as a long haul truck driver for over 40 years, retiring at the age of 62, in 1988.

He continued to drive locally part time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowshoeing, ski-jumping and was a member of the Frank L. Mitchell VFW Post 3335 in Jay. He was a passionate and talented musician, having played for years with various groups. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of Fayette; two daughters, Sheila Pylican, of Lewiston, and Brenda Martin, and her life partner, Dana Bradstreet, of Lisbon Falls; three brothers, Francis Remington, of Harold Remington, of and Robert Remington, of three sis ters, Arlene Harrington, of Bethel, Charmine Cote, of Farmington, N.H., and Kay DeVona, of Skowhegan; a sister-in-law, Thelma Remington, of Bethel; six grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Raymond, Clarence and Edward Remington. STANLEY W. REMINGTON 1926-2007 LEWISTON Armand C. Arsenault, 77, of Howe Street, Auburn, died Sunday, Feb. 25, at St.

Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in New Auburn on August 27, 1929, the son of Benonie and Sadie (Berube) Arsenault. He attended St. Louis School, and worked in the local textile industry, at the Hill Mill for 27 years. Prior to his retirement, he worked for 23 years at Superior Concrete as a carpenter and concrete form maker.

He was the husband of the former Lucille Beaule, whom he married on Nov. 17, 1951, and passed away on Feb. 5, 2007. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed carpentry, loved playing the harmonica, enjoyed traveling, working in and around his home, helping with crafts with his wife Lucille, and especially enjoyed being around his entire family.

He is survived by his son Paul Arsenault, and his wife, Linda, of Sabattus; one daughter, Joline Arsenault, of Litchfield; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by five brothers, Ernest, Alfred, Alphonse, Emile and George Arsenault; six sisters, Irene St. Hilaire, Alice Lachance, Rose Aubut, Solange Maiellette, Adrienne Belanger and Lillian Dupuis. ARMAND C. ARSENAULT 1929-2007 LEWISTON Debra Lee Lachance, 47, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb.

25, at her home. She was born in Brunswick, May 12, 1959, the daughter of Larry P. and Sandra M. Terrell Lachance. She was educated in Lisbon schools and graduated from Lisbon High School with the Class of 1977.

She worked for many years at local restaurants, including in Lisbon and Cathay Hut in Lewiston. Among her interests were playing pool, sewing and reading. She also had a love for cooking, and loved to cook her wonderful recipes for her family and friends. When she was younger, she also enjoyed baton twirling, where she was state champion. She is survived by her lifelong companion, Mike Swan of Lewiston; one daughter, Nicole Lachance of Lisbon Falls; three sons, Corey Lachance of Lewiston and Devan and Kerey Swan of Lewiston.

She also leaves her mother and father, of Lisbon Falls. She is survived by one sister, Lisa, and her husband, Shawn Lachance Riley, of Bowdoinham; one brother, Kevin Lachance, of Lisbon Falls; her maternal grandmother, Germaine Terrell, of Lewiston and her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Lachance, of Lisbon Center; and many nieces and nephews.
