MOON, Edward B. REDMOND, Gladys R. TOWLE, William F. Germaine Bovyn SABATTUS Mrs. Germaine Bovyn, 98, of 95 Main died Thursday evening at Russell Park Manor in Lewiston following a long illness.

She was born at Tourcoing, France, March 4, 1889, the daughter of Gustave and Philomene Delmeuscourt Seynave. She had been a resident of Sabattus the past five years, having previously resided at Newton, N.J. and Portsmouth, N.H. Mrs. Bovyn came to the U.S.

at the age of 16. She a member of Christ Episcopal Church at Newton, N.J. She was the wife of Albert Bovyn, who died in 1967. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Poirier of Sabattus and Mrs.

Clarence (Jeanne) Depue of Newton, N.J.; one son, Albert of Portsmouth, N.H.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Edward A. Gifford FARMINGTON Edward A. Gifford, 63, of Waldoboro, formerly of Farmington, died unexpectedly Thursday at his home in Waldoboro. He was born May 25, 1924, at West Farmington, the son of Ernest Sarah Ames Gifford.

He received his education in Farmington schools and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For many years he was employed at Macomber's Mill in West Farmington and later at Maine Dowel in Farmington until his retirement. He was a member of the Waldoboro Baptist Church. In his free time he enjoyed whittling and playing bridge.

Survivors include two sons, Brice A. of Union and Brent A. of San Antonio, Texas; two daughters, Beth A. Gifford of Warren and Bliss A. Gifford of Rockland; one brother, Frederick Gifford of Farmington and one sister, Prudy Gifford of Farmington.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Gifford, who died Sept. 16, 1987. Funeral notices BEAUDOIN Georgianna. Funeral Sat. 11 a.m.

CANTIN Died in Lewiston, Nov. 1 11, 1987, Mr. Norman C. Cantin, age 61, of 43 Cram Lewiston. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m.

at Holy Family Church. Interment in family lot in St. Peter's Cemetery. Visiting hours Thursday and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Pinette Funeral Home, 87 Bartlett St.

COX Died in Portland, Maine, November 12, 1987, Irma F. Cox, wife of Frank H. Cox. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. from the First Congregational Christian Church, New Gloucester.

Interment at Lower Gloucester Cemetery. Friends may call at the Plummer Merrill Funeral Home, Friday 2-4 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church, P.O. Box 114, New Gloucester, Maine 04260. DILLINGHAM Died in Norway, Nov.

11, 1987, Nelson L. Dillingham, age 75, of South Paris. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from Andrews Funeral Home, South Woodstock, with interment in Pleasant Pond Cemetery, West Sumner. Visiting hours at the funeral home Friday, 6 to 8 p.m.

GIFFORD Died in Waldoboro, Nov. 12, 1987, Edward A. Gifford, age 63, of Waldoboro, formerly of Farmington. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Wiles Funeral Home, Five Hill Street, Farmington.

Those who desire may make memorial contributions to Trinity Methodist Church, Roberta French, RFD 2, Box 2926, Farmington, 04938. Envelopes available at the funeral home. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Farmington. Irma F. Cox PORTLAND Irma F.

Cox, 74, of the Yarmouth Road, New Gloucester, died Thursday morning at the Osteopathic Hospital in Portland. She was born in New Gloucester on April 21, 1913, the daughter of Harland and Mabel True Jones. She graduated from New Gloucester High School in 1932. On July 6, 1940, she married Frank H. Cox.

She worked at West Point-Pepperell Mill for 23 years and later at Bonan Shoe, retiring in 1975. She was a member of the First Congregational-Christian Church of New Gloucester, the Ladies Circle of the church, Golden Sheaf Lodge of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Gray Senior Citizens. Survivors include her husband of New Gloucester; two daughters, Helen Richardson of Auburn and Frances Cohen of Portland; six grandchildren and two great children. Nellie Gilpatric OXFORD Nellie M. Gilpatric, 83, died Wednesday at a Norway hospital.

She was born at Flagstaff, April 20, 1904, the daughter of Charles and Eva Commerford Lincoln. She was educated. at Flagstaff High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Gilpatric was a member of the Hosanna Church in Welchville, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and the Paris AARP.

She married Oscar E. Gilpatric, April 21, 1934. He died Aug. 18, 1968. Surviving are three sons, Joseph 0.

of Buxton, Oscar E. Jr. of South Paris and Douglas M. of Welchville; four daughters, Lucille Toothaker of Lewiston, Eleanor Smith of Orlando, Gertrude Johnson of Bridgton, and Arline Dyer of West Baldwin; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Pease of North Whitefield; 23 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Joseph Nemi JAY A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph Nemi was held Thursday at St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay, with Fr. Maurice Plourde officiating. He recited commital prayers at Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls. Bearers were Greg and Dick Nemi, Billy White, Kevin and Keith Murphy and Greg Morin.

Towle LEWISTON William F. Towle, 72, of 10 Birch Road, Auburn, died Wednesday afternoon at Central Maine Medical Center, He was born in Auburn on Nov. 23, 1914, the son of Chesley B. and Cora Duplisea Towle. He was a graduate of Edward Little High School and Bliss Business College, where he was active in baseball and basketball.

In 1936 he married the former Hazel Mealey. During World War II, Towle worked at the Portland shipyard. For a number of years, he was a cutter at Clark and Dori shoe companies before retiring in 1971. He was active at the YMCA, where he played basketball and billiards for many years. He is survived by his wife of Auburn; two sons, William J.

of Bremblens, Switzerland and Michael F. of Auburn; a daughter, Edward (Kathleen) Cormier of Auburn; and five grandchildren. A brother, Chester, died in 1967. Alma P. Knott AVON Alma P.

Knott, 86, died Wednesday at the Market Square Health Care Facility, South Paris, following a long illness. She was born on Mt. Blue in Avon, July 28, 1901, the daughter of Samuel and Cordeliah Wing Trask. She was educated in the one-room school on Mt. Blue and married Sidney F.

Knott. He died Nov. 23, 1984. Mrs. Knott worked with her husband on the Maine Central Railroad in Boston for several years before they moved to Avon where they spent their lives.

Mrs. Knott worked at Diamond Match, Phillips; Forster Strong; and Livermore Shoe Shop, Livermore Falls. She owned and operated a lunch room, Few Acres in Avon, for several years. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth Grover Hinckley of Avon; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Bessie Ida Grover.

Dillingham, 75, formerly of West Sumner, died Wednesday night at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, following a long illness. He was born in Canton, March 22, 1912, the son of Ernest and Charlotte Small Dillingham. He received his education in Canton schools.

Mr. Dillingham was an automobile mechanic and had been employed by Twin Town Chevrolet in South. Paris, and other area garages for many years. He was also employed by the A.C. Lawrence Co.

in South Paris, from 1960 until he. was forced to retire due to ill health in 1975. Mr. Dillingham married Marion Heath on April 29, 1942. Survivors include his wife of South Paris; six sons, Leon L.

of Lineville, Nelson R. of Derby, Ralph A. of San Antonio, Texas, Ronald L. of West Sumner, Gordon E. of Woodstock, and Lenwood W.

of Rumford; two daughters, Janice Mills and Gloria Dillingham, both of South Paris; 26 grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. Mr. Dillingham was pre-deceased by a daughter, Mabel Merrill. Justina Provost AUBURN Funeral services for Justina Provost were held Thursday morning at St. Louis Church following prayers at Albert and Burpee Funeral Home.

The Rev. Rene Lavoie officiated and recited committal prayers at the interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. Bearers were Paul Normand Pierre E. and Roland Provost, Lionel Doucette and Gerald Bragdon.

Mary's Hospital following a long illness. She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 3, 1893, the daughter of George and Exilda Richard Sutton. She was the wife of Cyrille Beaudoin, who died in 1963. Mrs.

Beaudoin was a member of Holy Family Church and the Ladies of St. Anne in Survivors include two daughters, Georgianna Beaudoin Roland (Anita) Rousseau of Las Nev. and Mrs. Eugene Beaucage of Lewiston; one Henry of Auburn; two sisters, Herrmann of Thomaston and Armand (Anita) Bergeron of nine grandchildren and 11 two daughters, Edward Moon ALBANY TOWNSHIP Edward Bird Moon, 83, died Wednesday at the home of his daughter in Albany' Township. He was born at Stoughton, Feb.

13, 1904, the son of Edward Phillip and Lucy May Tucker Moon. He was graduated from Stoughton (Mass.) High School in the class of 1922 and had been employed as a union carpenter most of his life. Mr. Moon had resided in East Stoneham for the past 10 years, coming here from Brockton, Mass. He married Margaret L.

Sarson in 1 1928. She died May 6, 1983. Surviving are two daughters, Janet Levaggi of Bridgewater, Mass. and Nancy Brindley of Albany Township; sister, Mildred Kendall of Stoughton, nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Gladys R.

Redmond SCARBOROUGH Gladys R. Redmond, 94, formerly of South Portland, died Wednesday in a Scarborough nursing home after a long illness. She was born in Hanover, the daughter of Orlando and Annie Abbott Russell. She attended schools in Hanover and was a graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel. She was a member of the Thornton Heights Methodist Church and of the Electa Circle.

She was the widow of Phillip E. Redmond, who died in 1944. She was predeceased by a son, Phillip E. Redmond who died in 1968, and is survived by three sons, Russell R. of Dallas, Texas, Paul C.

of Rumford and Malcolm A. of Fredericton. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and I1 great-grandchildren. GILPATRIC Died in Norway, November 11, 1987, Nellie M. Gilpatric, age 83 of Oxford.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hillside Cemetery in Gorham, ME. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers please make contributions in Nellie's memory to the Hosanna Church in Welchville. Arrangement under the direction of the Raymond Funeral Home, Norway.

KNOTT Died in South Paris, Nov. 11, 1987, Alma Trask Knott, age 86. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, Main Street, Phillips, with Rev. Walter Schlemmer officiating.
